A Unique DIY Wedding Invitation
 - snowflake against a red and green background.

This diy wedding invitation design focus is a snowflake die cut. The snowflake on this winter wedding invitation was created by stacking six pieces of die-cuts on top of each other.

Supplies for Making Wedding Invitations

  • 4.75" x 6.75" green color card stock
  • 2 pieces of white paper ribbon - 2.5" and 5" long
  • snowflake diecuts
  • bone folder
  • glue
  • toothpick
  • a small piece of foam

Instructions for this Do-it-yourself Wedding Invitation:

1. Print date on the bottom right of green card. Names of bride and groom can also be added here above the date.

2. Fold red color card stock into half to make a 5" x 7" card.

3. Swipe with a bone folder to give it a sharp crease.

4. Apply glue to the tip of one end of the back of both pieces of paper ribbons.

5. Adhere the ribbons to the green card by pressing the two glued ends about 2" from the bottom of the back of green card stock.

6. Leave the other two ends loose for attaching snowflake.

7. Assemble the snowflake from the die cuts with the toothpick as shown on the images below.

You'll notice that this wedding invite is very similar to the Silver Snowflake Wedding Invitation here.

DIY wedding invitation text can be printed directly onto the inside right side of red card before step 1.

Or you can print the text on a 4.5" x 6.5" light weight paper and insert or paste it inside the card at the end.
